Find the leak.
Without finding the leak.

Escaping water draws SoilFloc™ into cracks and soil pores. The polymers gather fine soil particles and swell, helping close the paths where water gets out.

Help close the leak path. The untreated pond has a lower water level as water escapes through a soil fissure. The pond with SoilFloc™ has a higher water level, with Part A and Part B gathering and swelling in the leak path.
01 / APPLICATION

Apply over the water.

Broadcast the two granular parts over the water on a calm day. Prepare the site and follow Aqua Ben’s application guide so the product can reach the soil.

02 / FIRST 24–72 HOURS

Let the leak draw it in.

Drawn into the leak, the polymers bind fine soil particles and absorb water. Early improvement can appear within this window; slower seepage may take longer.

03 / TRACK WATER LOSS

Watch the water level.

Track water loss over time. If seepage continues, ask Aqua Ben to review the result. Wait at least 15 days before applying more.

Let’s make sure
it’s your kind of fix.

The right treatment starts with the right pond. Tell us what’s below the surface, and we’ll help you decide before you order.

Ask about your specific site
Earthen bottom. Water already in place.

Built for seepage through natural soil. The through-water method needs a suitable water column to carry the product down.

At least 4 feet of water.

Ponds below 5,000 sq ft need individual review; the manufacturer recommends more than 6 feet of depth for these smaller ponds.

Liner or concrete? A different repair.

SoilFloc™ seals earthen pathways. It does not repair rubber, plastic liners, or concrete shells.

Heavy silt, reeds, or livestock? Prepare first.

These can keep the polymers from reaching the leak. Review the preparation instructions with the team.

New construction or a dry pond? Ask for a project-specific application plan.

Seal the leak.
Skip the overhaul.

SoilFloc™ treats seepage through the water already in your pond. For suitable earthen ponds, that means keeping your water and avoiding the draining, earthwork, and liner installation of a full renovation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really leave the water in?

Yes, for a suitable through-water application. SoilFloc™ is designed to move with water toward the leak. Aqua Ben recommends at least 4 feet of water. Dry construction requires a separate application plan.

Manufacturer FAQ
How much does one unit cover?

At the published rate of 4 oz per 11 sq ft, one 110 lb unit covers about 4,840 sq ft. Each unit contains 55 lb of Part A and 55 lb of Part B. The calculator rounds up to whole units; the team confirms the final treatment quantity.

Application rate
What about fish and livestock?

Aqua Ben describes SoilFloc™ as non-toxic to plants, fish, and livestock. Correct application and site preparation still matter: remove livestock from the water before applying and review the current instructions and safety data sheet with the team. See product resources.

Manufacturer product information
How soon will I see a difference?

Early improvement and the final result can happen on different timelines. Aqua Ben lists 24–72 hours for many leaks; slower seepage can take longer. Monitor water levels and wait at least 15 days before reapplying. Ask the team to review continued water loss.

Application instructions
Will this fix a lined or concrete pond?

No. SoilFloc™ is intended to seal earthen pathways, not damaged liners or concrete. Small, shallow decorative ponds also need a different approach or technical review.

Manufacturer limitations
How does shipping work?

Aqua Ben’s FAQ describes UPS shipping for orders of up to four units and pallet shipping for larger orders. Availability, packaging, and freight are confirmed with your quote. Canadian inquiries go to Canadian Pond.
